Maintenance of photovoltaic systems

Our technicians analyse data and process images from our field monitoring systems every day, enabling us to plan and perform predictive, routine and corrective maintenance on photovoltaic systems.

Specifically, we identify and recommend predictive maintenance activities, efficiently schedule routine servicing, and promptly manage corrective maintenance following extraordinary events.

With almost 70 professionals throughout Italy, including more than 40 specialized in-house technicians with first and second-level certifications issued by major manufacturers of technical components for photovoltaic systems, and carefully selected external suppliers, we are able to work efficiently and quickly to meet the increasingly challenging response times expected by the market.

Service Level Agreement

The maintenance service that we offer as part of the management of photovoltaic systems – the Service Level Agreement – comes with a guarantee:

MINIMUM SYSTEM PR
Defined together with the client following the commissioning of the system.

SYSTEM AVAILABILITY
Range from 97% to 99.5% depending on the construction features of the system.

SYSTEM COMPONENT FAILURE RECOVERY TIME
For example: inverters, transformers, main switches, interface protection.

Monthly reports with the following information on the status of the system confirm that the above conditions are respected:

  • production values
  • monthly irradiation values
  • performance level
  • routine maintenance
  • extraordinary maintenance

Our engineers and field technicians use advanced data and image analysis tools to continuously monitor system performance, also in aggregate form and with a portfolio approach. Negative patterns, that is, anomalies in the modules including PID (Potential Induced Degradation), hot spots, derating or excessive soiling, can be identified by continuously calculating and comparing the various KPIs (Key Performance Indicators), thus preventing failures and increasing system productivity.

By carrying out regular maintenance, we ensure that every piece of equipment in the photovoltaic systems we manage is in good working order. From photovoltaic modules to inverters, from switchgear to security systems, our highly qualified personnel ensure that each component complies with the strictest quality and safety procedures.

We have put together a full checklist including both the activities carried out in the field, with agreed and guaranteed deadlines, and the analyses carried out continuously through the Renforce monitoring system. On-site interventions include visual inspections and specialist checks with special instruments on all the main components. These checks are necessary in order to meet the technical requirements of OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers).

When it comes to extraordinary maintenance, we are true specialists. Extraordinary maintenance is required when adverse and unforeseeable events occur that cause damage to the system in terms of structure or performance. Thanks to its sophisticated alarm system, Renforce, Esapro’s patented monitoring system, enables our technicians to intervene as quickly as possible to replace electrical and electromechanical components and, more generally, any component of the photovoltaic system, both on the ground and on rooftops, and to carry out mechanical assembly, civil works, riveting of the supports, re-stringing, and revamping of inverter cabinets and transformers.

We are able to manage all non-routine operations that may be necessary for a photovoltaic plant in order to ensure that the site is operational and safe again. We intervene within a maximum of 24 hours from the onset of a critical fault that has an impact on production or system safety.
